inRoute 6.4: 150 Location Routing, Streamlined Actions

inRoute 6.4

inRoute 6.4 has been released, now with routing to up to 150 locations, and interface updates to make planning your routes faster and easier.

Higher Limits

Pro plans can now create, import and optimize routes with up to 150 locations.

Streamlined Actions

A new icon (More Options) replaces the prior Action/Share icon for common tasks. This provides quicker access for actions like saving, clearing and importing routes, with sharing to 3rd party apps now grouped under the Share button.

Also New

  • Swipe right from the left edge of the screen to close most fullscreen windows on iPhones. On larger screen iPhones this is often easier than reaching to the top corner’s Done button.
  • New option to restore previous revisions of your Bookmarks has been added to Settings. Revisions are stored locally on your device and backed up with your device backups.
  • A close button has been added to Charts, in addition to the previous toolbar button.
  • iOS 11 or higher is required for this release. Users running previous iOS versions can still download the previous inRoute release compatible with their device.
  • Performance updates

inRoute 6.2: Siri Integration

inRoute 6.2

inRoute 6.2 is now available, with Siri integration for starting/ending routes and skipping waypoints on iOS 11, weather alerts that automatically dismiss during navigation, and more.

Siri Integration (iOS 11)

Use Siri to start/end routes and skip waypoints:
– Start/Resume Current Route: “Hey Siri, Start route using inRoute”
– Skip a Location: “Hey Siri, Skip next location using inRoute”
– End Current Route: “Hey Siri, End route using inRoute”
– Load from Bookmarks: “Hey Siri, Start activity named {Bookmark name} using inRoute”

Activating Siri with “Hey Siri” may require enabling this feature on your device (Settings app > Siri and Search). Instead of activating with “Hey Siri”, you can also hold the the home button to activate Siri (or the side button on iPhone X). Variations on the above commands work as well (e.g. Skip waypoint using inRoute, Skip location…, Start {Bookmark name}…), but we’ve found Siri to respond most reliably with the commands above.

Also New

  • Weather alerts automatically dismiss after 10 seconds during navigation
  • Performance updates and minor interface improvements

Route List Multi-Select

The Route list (top-left) now supports selecting multiple places, so you can change layovers, designate Vias, or remove from the route, for several or all places at once.

Save Non-Route Pins

Save all non-route pins at once, for example points of interest for a trip, with the new button in the Action/Share menu (bottom-center).

Export Entire Map Content

Sharing via Mail, Messages, or AirDrop now includes all map pins, including non-route pins, in the exported GPX file. Configure in the app’s Settings.
